Hi My Cool Friends:

This is Remy!!  Mommers is finally allowing me a little time alone so I thought I’d check in with all of you.

I’m feeling so much better. It’s been 3 weeks today since they took my leg away, but I found out “I Don’t Need it Anyway!”

Yesterday, I jumped right up in Dad’s truck seat to go for a ride. And I now can get on the couch again. Life is Good!

At night, I do feel so tired, but Mommers makes me go into the bedroom with her at 7:30 at night. It’s probably because she is tired too. She says the Holidays are tiring. Not sure what that means.

Here is a photo of me when I was getting one of my Cool Dude Laser Treatments. Don’t you love my shades?

I am so happy to have all these new friends and Mommers seems a little less worried now. That is good news for me, Remy!!

Okay, feel a nap coming on. Have a great Tripawd Hopping Weekend My Friends!!  Remy & Mommers.

I am a dog lover and have been involved with Lab rescue and shelter work for many years. A few years ago I became a Professional Certified Dog Trainer and left the corporate world job behind me. I love working with dogs and their owners. Two weeks ago we found out that our Remy, our 8 year old black lab had Osteosarcoma in his left front leg. It was amputated on Friday, 11/16. Today is Day 4 and he has been up and hopping around. We are reading everything we can about cancer on the cancer dog blog and loving the inspirational stories here on Tripawds. We also have a 7 year old Australian Shepherd that we adopted a year ago. His name is Freddy. And we have Chico, our 30+ year old African Grey Parrot. We are finding the cup half full, not half empty. Ready to kick Remy's cancer to the gutter.

  1. Remy you are super cool in those shades, all you need is a leather jacket and you’re set!

I’m so hoppy to know you are doing well. Sounds like you’ve got a great routine going on and your pawrents are doing exactly as they should be when it comes to managing your activity and making sure you stay strong and fit. You’re so lucky to have such great people!

Thanks for the pupdate. Hope you get lots of treats during the pawlidays, you sure deserve them.

  2. Oh Remy, you are so handsome, yes.. the leather jacket would complete the ensemble, lol. So glad you are doing well, your handsome picture brought a smile to my face 🙂
Hugs to you and your family,
    Jackie and Huckleberry
